By using UptimeBot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use UptimeBot.

1. Summary

  • Use UptimeBot responsibly and in line with Discord's rules
  • Service availability is not guaranteed at all times
  • Misuse can result in suspension or removal of access
  • Server data may be deleted 7 days after the bot is removed from that server

2. Who Operates UptimeBot

UptimeBot is operated by an independent individual developer. These Terms apply to use of the bot, related dashboard/tools, and this website.

UptimeBot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

3. Eligibility and Authority

You must follow Discord's Terms and Community Guidelines when using UptimeBot.

Users must meet the minimum age required by Discord in their jurisdiction.

If using UptimeBot on behalf of a server or organization, you confirm that you have authority to configure bot settings and agree to these Terms for that server.

4. Service Description

UptimeBot provides Discord bot uptime and downtime tracking, watchlists, and related utility commands.

Features may change over time, including additions, removals, limits, and behavior adjustments.

5. License to Use the Service

A limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license is granted to use UptimeBot in accordance with these Terms.

This license may be revoked at any time for violations, abuse, legal risk, or operational reasons.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
  • Use the bot for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive activity
  • Attempt to bypass limits or protections
  • Use automation/scripting to interfere with normal operation
  • Use UptimeBot to spam mentions, notifications, or repeated alerts
  • Misrepresent alerts, status output, or attribution in a deceptive way

7. Discord and Third-Party Dependencies

UptimeBot depends on Discord and infrastructure providers. Outages, API issues, rate limits, policy changes, or third-party failures may affect service behavior and availability.

8. Data and Privacy

Use of UptimeBot is also governed by the UptimeBot Privacy Policy.

UptimeBot does not store or archive Discord message content.

If UptimeBot is removed from a server, associated server watchlist and configuration data may be automatically deleted after 7 days.

9. Availability, Changes, and Interruptions

UptimeBot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Availability, uptime, and specific feature behavior are not guaranteed.

UptimeBot is provided for general informational purposes and is not a mission-critical monitoring system. Alerts may be delayed, incomplete, or affected by Discord API limitations.

Maintenance, updates, outages, and platform-side issues may interrupt access temporarily or permanently.

10. Suspension and Termination

Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated (globally, per server, or per user) for abuse, security risk, legal compliance, or operational reasons.

You may stop using UptimeBot at any time by removing it from your server.

11. Intellectual Property

UptimeBot branding, code, and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership rights to you.

12. Feedback

If feedback, suggestions, or ideas are sent, they may be used to improve UptimeBot without compensation.

13. Disclaimer

UptimeBot is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent allowed by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of UptimeBot.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from misuse of UptimeBot, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.

16. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be modified from time to time. Continued use after updates means acceptance of the revised Terms.
